Supporting The Whole Educational Journey

empowered students at hope wall

Success in school is about more than completing assignments.

Students thrive when they have the right academic support, families feel equipped to advocate for their needs, and schools and communities work together.

That is where EmpowerEd comes in.

We meet students and families where they are, identify what support is needed, and create practical pathways forward.

Support Built Around the Student

01.

Academic Support

Academic support is available through one-on-one and small-group instruction.

Support may include:

  • Reading and literacy
  • Homework support
  • Skill reinforcement

02.

Academic Intervention

Sometimes the challenge is not simply understanding tonight’s homework. There may be foundational skills that need to be identified and strengthened first.

Our goal is to understand why a student is struggling and create a plan for what comes next.

03.

Partnerships

EmpowerEd partners with organizations that share a commitment to helping young people and families thrive.

Rather than bringing a predetermined program into every organization, we begin by listening.

04.

Family & IEP Advocacy

Understanding special education systems, IEPs, school communication, and case conferences can feel overwhelming.

EmpowerEd helps families become informed and prepared participants in their child’s educational team.

CHURCH & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS

Bringing educational support into the community

July

Through our partnership with EmpowerED, we were able to launch a summer tutoring program to intervene for students struggling in failing classes. Together, we helped turn those grades around and restored their confidence for the upcoming school year.

EmpowerEd’s impact grows when families, educators, churches, businesses, and community members come together around students.

Mrs. Alexandria Davidson

Founder & Executive Director

EmpowerEd grew from Alexandria Davidson’s years of experience working alongside students, families, educators, and special education teams.

Alexandria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Psychology with a minor in African American Studies from Purdue University, an educational foundation that has shaped her understanding of human development, behavior, culture, and the importance of supporting the whole child.

With nearly a decade of experience across youth development and special education including classroom teaching, family support, and special education support roles Alexandria has seen firsthand how much students can accomplish when the right people, resources, and support systems come together.

She has also seen how overwhelming education can become for families who know their child needs support but may not know where to begin.

EmpowerEd was created to help bridge that gap.

The organization brings together Alexandria’s experience in education, youth development, family support, and organizational leadership with a deeply held commitment to helping students and families move forward with confidence.
